Protected Structure.
Conservation, refurbishment and extension of city centre protected structure in current advanced stage of internal structural failure.  The central inner spine structural wall had settled by approximately 190mm with the consequential heavy sloping of all floors and ceilings.  This project requires design in accordance with best conservation principles and procurement of planning permission with close liaison with the Planning Authority and the Heritage Officer.  The brief also extended to designing and procuring statutory consents for a modern comfortable extension at the rear, the garden of which fronts onto the the Corrib River.
